Dongguk University WISE started to expand exchanges and Buddhist cooperation with universities in India.
President Yi Young Kyoung will visit India for 8 days from March 6th to promote the globalization of Buddhism and campus internationalization in connection with the key projects of the Committee for Implementation of Founding Philosophy.
On the first day in the country, they visited the Jawaharlal Nehru University located in New Delhi on the 7th, agreed to conclude an academic exchange agreement between the two universities, and discussed overseas Korean language education and global higher education resource sharing and innovative content exchange and cooperation.
Yi Young Kyoung, President of Dongguk University WISE, said, “This year is a meaningful year to mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between India, the country where Buddhism originated, and Korea. Based on this, we plan to create various values such as religion, scholarship, economy, and culture.”
