Introduction

Undergraduate Program

The undergraduate program in the division of smart safety engineering is divided into the major of safety and health and the major of fire and disaster prevention. The goal of the division is to apply safety concepts from the planning and designing stage of facilities and systems by suggesting scientific prevention methods (e.g. 4th Industrial revolution technology), and to improve efficiency of systems. Another goal is to cultivate safety specialists who are able to prevent disaster or accidents, to contribute to the development of the national industries, and to improve our general welfare. Smart safety engineering reveals the causes of disaster and its effect on the environment in the course of development, and improves the safety and integrity of a system. Students will be specialists who have creative thinking and hands-on application ability.

Graduate Program

The graduate program of the Division of Smart safety engineering is divided into a master's course and a doctoral course. Graduate programs are divided into mechanical safety, chemical safety, construction safety, electrical safety, fire and disaster prevention engineering.
